It can make the job of removing unwanted grass and weeds much easier.

Once you have the grass and weeds removed you will need to be certain that the area where the sod will be placed is completely smooth. It will be much easier to use lawn rollers if you take the time to be certain that the area has been smoothed out. If you avoid this step you will find it to be more difficult to lay out the sod and the results will be inconsistent.

After this is done you will be ready to roll out the sod. If you do not have a lawn roller then you might also consider renting one from your local rental store. The price for renting lawn rollers typically is based upon the length of time that you need the equipment. Many rental stores will either rent lawn rollers by the hour, by the half day or for a full day.
