Lawn Darts

There are many different games that can be enjoyed outside during the long summer days, including croquet, horseshoes and lawn darts. Lawn darts are a special type of dart that features tips that are elongated. They are designed so that when they are tossed into the air they will hit the ground with the tip first. In the game the features lawn darts, the tips are often tossed at a target which is positioned on the ground.

There are different types of lawn darts which are produced for different purposes. Many lawn darts are about a foot in length and feature a tip on one end that is comprised of either heavy metal or plastic that has been weighted. On the other end of the rod there are three fins. These lawn darts are intended to be held on the rod end and then thrown under the arm at a target.

When using lawn darts, it is important to keep in mind that the sharp end of a lawn dart is not really that sharp and but caution should still be exercised when using lawn darts to avoid serious injuries. The most dangerous types of lawn darts are those that have an elongated metal end. Such lawn darts can weight up to half of a pound. When these darts are thrown at the ground they will stick into the soil.

Due to the fact that lawn darts can be quite dangerous they have been banned from being sold in the United States. The ban first took place in 1988. This ban took place after four children were killed as the result the use of lawn darts in outside games. Despite the ban on lawn darts, they have continued to be used and other deaths have subsequently occurred.

It is for this very reason that consumer product safety commissions have continued to advise against the use of lawn darts, particularly in areas where children may be playing. Furthermore, lawn darts should never be used by children. Some of the injuries that have been known to be caused by the use of lawn darts include skull punctures, some of which have been known to be fatal. The best way to avoid injuries related to lawn darts is to simply avoid using them. There are a number of other fun and exciting games that can be played outside without the danger that is involved with lawn darts.
